How to Play Ludo and Snake & Ladder (Standard)

About the Board

This classic wooden board features two beloved games — Ludo and Snake & Ladder — on a single beautifully crafted surface. Suitable for 2–4 players of all ages.

Game 1: Ludo

Objective

Be the first player to move all four of your tokens from the starting area to the home column in the centre of the board.

Setup

1. Each player chooses a colour and places all 4 tokens in their respective starting yard.
2. Decide who goes first (highest dice roll starts).

How to Play

1. On your turn, roll the dice.
2. Roll a 6 to bring a token out of the yard onto the starting square.
3. Move any active token the number of squares shown on the dice.
4. Rolling a 6 gives you an extra turn.
5. If your token lands on an opponent's token, the opponent's token is sent back to their yard.
6. Tokens must travel around the board and enter the home column of their own colour.
7. An exact roll is needed to reach the home square.

Winning

The first player to get all 4 tokens to the home square wins.

Game 2: Snake & Ladder

Objective

Be the first player to reach square 100 from square 1.

Setup

1. All players place their tokens on the starting position (off the board or square 1).
2. Decide who goes first.

How to Play

1. On your turn, roll the dice and move your token forward by that many squares.
2. If you land on the bottom of a ladder, climb up to the square at the top.
3. If you land on the head of a snake, slide down to the square at the tail.
4. An exact roll is required to land on square 100. If you overshoot, stay in place.

Winning

The first player to land exactly on square 100 wins the game.
